4RBMM, Principal
As managing principal, Jeff holds the unofficial titles of Team Builder, Visionary, and Cat Wrangler. That’s okay, because Jeff has always been at his creative best when things are at their most chaotic. Like many of his predecessors and peers, Jeff is committed to elevating the practice of design. He is a past president of the Dallas Society of Visual Communications (DSVC), and a former board member (he served 10 years). Jeff honed his design chops at three Dallas design and advertising firms, where he also polished his skills as a creative director and mentor. He joined RBMM after three years of running his own successful practice. Most evenings, Jeff heads out to his backyard studio – where he and his wife, Shay, run Bee Things. The couple designs and prints limited-edition posters, apparel, and paper products for the home. Jeff’s marine biology degree hasn’t proved very useful – except for his uncanny ability to draw sea creatures.

If you understand the impact movable type and invention of the printing press had on us as humans, then discover how AR and VR will do for us like what Gutenburg did with the first printed book.

True partnership allows both parties to leverage the full breadth of their capabilities — and understand what the other can do. In this presentation, Tonya and Sarah will look at the Canon Solutions America ProStream Possibilities Media Guide as a case study. They will walk us through the collaboration process between designer and printer, from the concept stage through production, and will highlight the ways in which this piece benefitted from the CSA/Trekk creative partnership.

Our culture is constantly being influenced by fads, trends and occasionally truly disruptive technologies that find their way into new and maturing markets. It raises the question: how do we integrate these new technologies into our current sales and marketing strategies? While some are pricey now, we have seen the cost of many tools (some only a few years old) become affordable and a part of day-to-day life very quickly. We’ll cover new technology such as image recognition as a link between ink-on-paper and digital marketing communications; OLED (organic light emitting diodes) paper-thin monitors being incorporated into unique direct marketing and publishing campaigns; the ability to print electronic and digital circuitry directly on substrates to be used for new products including packaging, interior design, greeting cards and more. Join the discussion on how the printing industry is incorporating new technology to evolve in ways we would not have imagined only a few years ago.
This power-packed session is filled with direct mail inspiration and advice from the one-and-only Trish Witkowski of Foldfactory, who will be broadcasting LIVE from her Maryland studio. Trish will take us on a journey through different engagement devices and techniques with a focus on generational preferences and strategies. So, the question is: "Can companies attract and engage Millennials and Gen Z without alienating their Gen X and Boomer clients?” Tune in to learn how to “get it opened,” and how to make effective mail campaigns that connect with your audience.
